Did anyone end up picking up the TMNT games? I got the GBA version recently, haven't played it much but it seems to be really short and easy, not a patch on the old Konami games based on the 80s/90s toon. I ain't played the 128-bit game yet, I plan on downloading a PC demo first in case it's similarly average. Did any Turtles fans get it? If so, what did you think?

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Yeah, i got the X-Box version.....
It's not too bad, but i can see why critics slated it, as it probably won't appeal to anyone else other than Turtle fans. But the way i see it, there's always this kind of game out there....you know, the DBZ fan or Godzilla fan that laps up the crap stuff because it gives them a chance to "be" their heroes. And why not?
As for the game itself, it plays quite well.....graphics are good but certainly don't push the X-Box at all, and the characters almost seem too small for their own good. Every turtle has their pros and cons, it has a nifty 2-player (but not 4) mode, and there are plenty of unlockable things to do. I've doe most of them, but ot all. I kinda lost interest in playing after i bought Ninja Gaiden (which is good).
As an aside, if you go to the gamefaqs.com webpage, look up X-Box and then find the message board for Ninja Turtles 2, someone has kindly supplied the link of a very small video of the sequel.....and it's 4 player simultaenous (yes).
Whether it's nostalgia or something else, i prefer the old arcade games at the moment...

I got through the first 2 stages of the new one on PC and then got bored of it. Maybe if they made an all new story instead of just rehashing the first few eps of the show, I'd have been more inclined to keep playing. However, with no new story, extremely repetative game play, and annoying sound effects, I just couldn't keep going.
Personally, I prefer the old classic ones on NES and SNES for the nostalgia factor. Those had the original theme song.

I think I'll leave buying it until I can pick it up extremely cheaply second hand. I saw it running with proper sound today and the constant ramblings of each Turtle as you fight would drive me nuts I think. Luckily I can still go and play on my old SNES Turtles in Time, which should keep me happy for a while at least. Thanks for the info.
